West Civ
Today in West Civ we took more notes about ancient Greece. Most of the notes we took today were from peoples power points and the main ideas we needs to know. Furthermore, this wrapped up all o our ancient Greece notes. Below I have listed some of the notes I took today.
- Poseidon- God of the sea- interfered with Odysseus
- Aphrodite- Goddess of love- had both God and men lovers
- Dionysus- God of wine- he was the son of Zeus and Semele
- Zeus- ruler of heaven and earth- father of Athena- god of the sky,weather, thunder, lightning, law, order, and justice- had a temper and was known to hurl thunderbolts
- Spartans were known for their tough, ruthless infantry- infantry are soldiers who fought on land
- The Spartan boys trained to be a soldier since they were 7
- Nothing could compare to Athena Navy
- they traveled as a pack with long swards and interlocking
